READING : AN AMAZING TOOL FOR LEARNING FRENCH LANGUAGE

Reading is one of the best ways to improve your French. When reading, you can discover better ways to express yourself both in writing and speaking, you can also pick up new vocabulary and some nice expressions.  You don't only come across many new words but you get the benefit of seeing them being used in various contexts.
Reading in French can be a difficult task for French beginners but in this article i'm going to give some tips to help overcome the fear of reading a French novel.

1. Look out for verbs and learn

A verb is often defined as a word which shows action or state of being. The verb is the heart of a sentence. When reading, you do yourself well to pay special attention to the verbs because they give you a clue of what is going on , it means you can't be totally lost while reading. Make sure to add every new verb to your vocabulary and learn to conjugate the verb immediately just in case they appear in a different form  later.

2. Underline new words

Underlining new words can make reading slow that is why is it advisable to start with children books where you don't have many pages to cover , make sure to digest every page so that in the end you will be able tell someone else what you've read.

3. Read again

You can re-read a novel after a while but this time around, it will become faster and more interesting

4. Enjoy reading

When reading a French novel you need to enjoy the story by trying to make it real because reading in another language alone can make it boring but tying to enjoy the story can take away such boredom.
